ملخص
يعتبر كتاب “مقدمة في علم الاستغراب” مشروعا فكريا يتوخى قراءة الغرب، كرد فعل على خطاب المركزية الغربية أو الأنوية الأوروبية المتضخمة، لكن هذه المرة بدون استغراب أو دهشة أو صدمة نفسية، ولكن بوعي كامل بضرورة تفكيك هذه السردية الغربية القائمة على أسطورة الرجل الأبيض المنقذ من الضلال والتخلف من جهة، وبأهمية تبني منهجية علمية لقراءة الآخر الغربي كموضوع، من خلال وضع المسافة الضرورية بين الأنا الدارسة (العربية الإسلامية) والموضوع المدروس (الغرب) تحقيقا للموضوعية المعرفية والتحرر من طوق تحيزات الخطاب الأيديولوجي المزدوج.. وتتشكل بنية الكتاب من ثلاث محاور أساسية: تكوين الوعي الأوروبي وبنية الوعي الأوروبي ثم مصير الوعي الأوروبي، بالإضافة إلى فصل أول بمثابة مقدمة نظرية معنونة بماذا يعني علم الاستغراب؟ وتتوزع المحاور الثلاثة على سبعة فصول تستعرض تاريخ الفكر الغربي ومدارسه الفلسفية، بداية من مصادره اليونانية والرومانية في العصر الكلاسيكي وصولا إلى المرحلة المعاصرة في القرن العشرين، فضلا عن تحليل وعرض الأسس الابستمولوجية والمنهجية التي يتحرك بوسطتها الوعي الأوروبي.

Abstract :
The book “An Introduction to the Science of Occidentalism” is an intellectual project that seeks to understand the West as a reaction to the discourse of Western centrism or inflated Eurocentrism. This time, however, it is approached without surprise, astonishment, or psychological shock, but rather with a full awareness of the necessity to deconstruct this Western narrative, which is based on the myth of the white man as the savior from error and backwardness. It also emphasizes the importance of adopting a scientific methodology for reading the Western other as an object of study, by establishing the necessary distance between the studying self (Arab-Islamic) and the studied object (the West). This ensures epistemological objectivity and liberation from the biases of dual ideological discourse. The book’s structure is comprised of three main axes : the formation of European consciousness, the structure of European consciousness, and the fate of European consciousness. In addition, there is an introductory chapter entitled “What Does the Science of Occidentalism Mean?” These three axes are distributed across seven chapters that review the history of Western thought and its philosophical schools, from its Greek and Roman sources in the Classical era to the contemporary stage in the twentieth century. Furthermore, the book analyzes and presents the epistemological and methodological foundations that guide European consciousness.
